Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was the role of Essie Carmichael in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In her performance as Essie In You Can't Take It With You she received the Tony Award. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked with many acclaimed actors and directors on stage and screen. The award-winning actress continues her career with her upcoming projects. Ashford next will star opposite Kumail in Robert Siegel's exclusive Hulu series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres the 22nd of November. Ashford has been working on Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust with Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film will stream on Disney's DTC platforms, as well as Hulu Original. Ashford returns to Broadway in the month of March 2023 in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same team who created Hamilton, will direct the musical. Ashford was most recently seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the country's First Impeachment Proceedings in Over 100 Years. Her two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive was her first major part. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not familiar with Broadway won both Tony Drama Desk Awards as in addition to Outer Critics Circle Awards in her role in the role of Essie. She has also appeared in Broadway as a character in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first part as Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for an Tony Award. Her birthplace and childhood was in Denver Ashford currently splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.
