April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started with guitar and piano in 7th grade which sparked her interest. In April, when she was 12 years old when she wrote her first single called Different. The singer spent much of her the time of 14 making songs and practicing music. After a while, she began to go on trips with her dad and write at home in NY as well as LA. April also began to include additional topics that were related to of her friends dealing with issues such as bullying by peers and teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a partner at popular Clean Beauty brand Ilia as well as an influencer in the lifestyle industry with her own growing following. Since she was born without a left hand, she is a major part of her. It's however not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't cover up her disability, but it does not focus solely on it. The point? This is the message: We all have many identities, we're more complex than we think that we're. Lockhart through a video message from Nashville home, states that I don't wish for that to be a part of my character. I am more than my physical self. This doesn't influence my day-to-day routine. I go about my business as usual and have developed my own methods to adjust. It's also a part of me, and I believe that it is something to be talked about. Lockhart, a real inspiration for self-acceptance in general she is on a long journey to achieve it. Even so, Lockhart admits having moments when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance, and the clothes that showed her arms. It's her choice to wear what she likes, and is proud to share photos of herself dressed in her favorite outfits. Self-love, she says, is a process. "I do not think that you'll be there," she said. It's a long journey. I don't think you ever reach your destination. It's essential to have those around you who are aware of and appreciate you. They will be the ones who ask your: What are you worry about?
